James Gillespies Primary to STOP all Music Clubs

Posted by Rocio Banyuls on Tuesday, February 20, 2018
We are very sorry to tell you that James Gillespies primary School has decided to stop all music clubs using school premises from August 2018, due to space restrictions.

The news have come as a great shock to us, especially considering that we have been working in the school for 10 years and have grown a great music community and impacted greatly the life of so many children there, through our many music clubs (Music play Room, Recorder, Ukelele, Guitar, Piano and Voice).

The school have given little information about the reasons of their decision, but the general picture seems to be that the school is running out of space to allocate their pupils and are in need of those spaces used by our and other clubs.

From Ritmico we can reassure all the parents community at James Gillespies that we are going to do everything possible to keep the clubs running, so we are already looking at alternative venues and arrangements that mean as little disruption for the parents as possible.

We are in close contact with the parents council at school so sort out arrangements, and see parents view on the issue.

In the meantime, should you have any questions or worries about the future of the music clubs or the place of your child in one of the clubs, please don't hesitate to contact the manager directly at r.banyuls@ritmicomusic.co.uk
