Based in Edinburgh since 2013, Manolo's passion for education has guided him through his life. Firstly, prompting him to graduate in Philosophy and Education Sciences, and, later, to complete a master’s degree in teaching, becoming a qualified high school teacher.
Having studied Piano as a child, Manolo started playing guitar when he was fourteen. Since, in these 20 years, he has played keyboards and guitar in numerous bands, and toured with some of them across 5 different European countries. For the last five years, Manolo has been focussing in learning the ways of the old blues and jazz legends from the 20’s and 30’s, such as Robert Johnson, Skip James or Louis Jordan. Manolo loves teaching guitar, especially in his especialities: classic rock’n’roll and blues.
"Teaching guitar is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. Since I started teaching in Scotland in 2014, it has made me very happy to see my students progressing and sharing the joy of playing an instrument"
